Directions

By Car:

From Frankfurt, Frankfurt Airport or Kassel:

  • From A5 at “Bad Homburger Kreuz” intersection turn onto A661 signposted Bad Homburg/Oberursel.
  • Take first exit signposted Bad Homburg and follow major road.
  • At second traffic light turn right into Marienbader Platz, which merges into Ferdinandstraße.
  • At the end of Ferdinandstraße turn left into Kaiser-Friedrich-Promenade.
  • The Kurpark is on the right-hand side.

From Taunus/Oberursel:

  • On A661 at the “Oberursel” junction follow signpost Bad Homburg.
  • Follow major road to Bad Homburg.
  • After Bad Homburg place name sign turn right at fourth traffic light into Hessenring.
  • At third traffic light turn left into Marienbader Platz, which merges into Ferdinandstraße.
  • At the end of Ferdinandstraße turn left into Kaiser-Friedrich-Promenade.

The Kurpark is on the right-hand side.

By Rail:

The S-Bahn line 5 (S5) from Frankfurt and Friedrichsdorf stops at Bad Homburg train station.

From the station, both the Kurpark and the Schlosspark can be reached by bus, on foot (approx. 20 minutes), or by taxi.

By Bus: from the station, take one of the following busses to the Kurhaus (3 stops):

  • Routes 1 or 11 (destination Hirschgarten / Gotisches Haus)
  • Routes 2 or 12 (destination Eichenstahl)
  • Route 4 (destination Gartenfeldstr.)
  • Route 5 (destination Saalburg / Hessenpark)
  • Route 6 (destination Sportzentrum Nordwest)

From the Kurhaus, the exhibition sites both in the Kurpark as well as the Schlosspark (entrance Löwengasse / Dorotheenstrasse) can easily be reached in a few minutes by foot.
In the Kurhaus, there is Tourist Info + Service counter, where a  pocket-size catalogue of each current Blickachsen exhibition will be available (from approx. 10 days after the exhibition opening) for a token charge of 2 Euros. The catalogues include a location plan for the sculptures.
